Kalp ve damar hastal\u0131klar\u0131na ba\u011fl\u0131 \u00f6l\u00fcmlerin artarak, 2030 y\u0131l\u0131nda 22,2 milyona ula\u015faca\u011f\u0131 tahmin edilmektedir. Davran\u0131\u015fsal risk fakt\u00f6rleri yani; sa\u011fl\u0131ks\u0131z beslenme, yetersiz fiziksel aktivite, t\u00fct\u00fcn kullan\u0131m\u0131 ve alkol kullan\u0131m\u0131 koroner kalp hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n y\u00fczde 80\u2019inden sorumludur. Kardiyovask\u00fcler hastal\u0131klar\u0131n \u00e7o\u011fu risk fakt\u00f6rleriyle m\u00fccadele edilerek engellenebilir. Risk fakt\u00f6rlerinin kontrol\u00fc ile kalp ve damar hastal\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fclme s\u0131kl\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n yar\u0131ya indirilebilece\u011fi bildirilmektedir. Sa\u011fl\u0131ks\u0131z beslenme ve yetersiz fiziksel aktivite etkisiyle bireylerde kan bas\u0131nc\u0131nda y\u00fckselme, kan \u015fekeri y\u00fcksekli\u011fi, kan lipidlerinde y\u00fckselme, fazla kilo veya obezite g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr. Sosyal ekonomik fakt\u00f6rler ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel de\u011fi\u015fiklikler (k\u00fcreselle\u015fme, \u015fehirle\u015fme) toplumun ya\u015flanmas\u0131, stres, herediter fakt\u00f6rler kardiyovask\u00fcler hastal\u0131klar\u0131n di\u011fer belirleyicileridir. 40 ya\u015f \u00fcst\u00fc her birey i\u00e7in kardiyovask\u00fcler riskin hesaplanmas\u0131 ve varsa davran\u0131\u015fsal risk fakt\u00f6rlerine uygun m\u00fcdahaleler ile kalp krizi, inme, kalp yetmezli\u011fi ve di\u011fer komplikasyonlar\u0131n geli\u015fmesini \u00f6nleyebilecek tedbirlerin al\u0131nmas\u0131 \u00f6nerilir. Her bir bireyin kalp ve damar hastal\u0131klar\u0131na yol a\u00e7an davran\u0131\u015fsal risk fakt\u00f6rleri ile ilgili fark\u0131ndal\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131n art\u0131r\u0131lmas\u0131 ve hasta olmamak i\u00e7in riskli davran\u0131\u015flar\u0131n\u0131 olumlu davran\u0131\u015flara de\u011fi\u015ftirmesi i\u00e7in te\u015fvik edilmesi gerekir.
