Ama Osmanl\u0131 zaman\u0131nda az okuyan bir millet de\u011fildik. Cumhuriyet d\u00f6neminde az okuyan bir millet olduk. Bunu birbirinden ay\u0131rt etmek gerekir. Osmanl\u0131\u2019da biri \u00f6ld\u00fc\u011f\u00fc zaman onun mal varl\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00e7ocuklar\u0131 aras\u0131nda payla\u015f\u0131l\u0131rd\u0131. \u00d6len insandan geriye kalanlara bak\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda normal bir ailenin en az 100\u2019e yak\u0131n kitab\u0131 olurdu. Onun i\u00e7in biz \u00f6nceden okuyan bir millettik.
